Cuadro Flamenco at the CPAC
Tonight I attended a captivating Flamenco performance at the Community Performance & Art Center (CPAC) in Green Valley, AZ. My friend Misael Barraza-Díaz, an outstanding and highly skilled flamenco guitar performer, joined forces with Gretchen "La Checha" Williams (singer), dancer Angelina Ramirez, and percussionist Jason Martinez. It was a well-put-together show with impressive artistry, and it was well attended, despite the intense heat of the season.
This concert was dedicated to the memory of guitar enthusiast Lloyd Bierstaker, who had been a very supportive and encouraging figure in Misael’s journey. Overall, it was a great and inspiring show!
Esta noche asistí a una excelente presentación de flamenco en el Community Performance & Art Center (CPAC) en Green Valley, AZ. Mi amigo Misael Barraza Díaz, un talentoso y destacado guitarrista flamenco, se unió a Gretchen "La Checha" Williams (cantante), bailaora Angelina Ramírez y el percusionista Jason Martínez. Fue un espectáculo muy bien elaborado, con una artística impresionante, y contó con una buena asistencia a pesar del intenso calor de la temporada. El concierto estuvo dedicado a la memoria de Lloyd Bierstaker, un entusiasta de la guitarra que siempre apoyó y alentó a Misael en su trayectoria. En conjunto, fue una presentación excelente e inspiradora.
