Today, I took my mother to Amelia's Mexican Kitchen in Tucson for a "tryout" meal. We were excited to try their amazing Mexican food. My mom enjoyed two well-seasoned carne asada tacos with cilantro and onions on soft corn tortillas, which reminded her of Mexico.

The Metropolitan Cathedral of the Assumption of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary into Heaven, also known as the Mexico City Cathedral, is the main Catholic church in Mexico City. It was built from 1573 to 1813 on the site of an Aztec sacred area, near the Templo Mayor.

Yesterday, I had the privilege of attending a beautiful liturgy with beautful music at the famous Church of the Blessed Sacrament in the lively Upper West Side neighborhood of New York City. The event was organized by Pueri Cantores USA, a group that provides a platform for young singers to showcase their talent. They performed my version of Ave María, for treble voices, and it was truly angelic.

Todos los días, un perro amigable va al camión/carpa de comida de Baja Mar en Tucson. Ahí venden buenos mariscos. El perrito es lo suficientemente valiente como para acercarse a las personas que comen en el lugar y pedirles amablemente algo de comida.

Durante el Festival Coral y Misa de Niños de Pueri Cantores Phoenix de 2023, el 4 de febrero, varios coros de niños de la Diócesis de Phoenix se reunieron en la Basílica de Santa María en Phoenix para ensayar y cantar. La Misa fue celebrada por el Sr. Obispo Thomas Olmsted, emérito de Phoenix. Tuve el honor de componer una pieza musical titulada "Ave María", por encargo de la Federación Americana Pueri Cantores

Last week, I was extremely happy to have the amazing opportunity to play the beautiful piano at the Steinway and Sons store in Manila. The pianos were truly incredible and left a lasting impression on me.

La semana pasada tuve el honor de ser galardonado, junto al Secretario de Agricultura, Víctor Villalobos Arámbula y al rector del Instituto Tecnológico de Sonora, Jesús Héctor Hernández López, con la medalla al mérito Voz Sonora, otorgada por el Diario del Yaqui.

Photos from our last performance of Latíntimo in Arizona. As I had previously mentioned, Edwin will return to Colombia, where he is Professor of Guitar at the Sergio Arboleda University. Our presentation was at the Arizona Senior Academy. I'm sure we'll meet again on stage in the not too distant future.

Last weekend, I had a great chance to perform with my colleagues Misael and Edwin at Tohono Chul Park. The event was organized by the Tucson Guitar Society, in collaboration with the park administration. It was a new experience for me because I usually perform indoors to avoid risks like allergies. Luckily, everything went well.

My colleagues Misael, Edwin and I performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City last week. We played several songs from our album, Latíntimo, and the audience loved it. The event was even more successful than we expected, with several dignataries and distinguished guests from different countries showing their admiration.

Every once in a while, life takes an unexpected turn and brings forth a story that changes everything. That happened to me, thanks to Doney. So, I promise you that one day, I will share this life-altering story with you.

The Caballero family formed a chamber orchestra in Alamos, which had a lot of fame in the region. Unfortunately, the immediate descendants were not interested in learning how to play an instrument. 

Cada miércoles publicaré un video en Facebook/Instagram (formato corto) en el que interpretaré una canción popular en el piano. Ya pude grabar algunos temas con anticipación, puesto que estaré sin poder tocar piano, (ni dirigir) por un buen tiempo hasta tener permiso del médico. Al menos podré seguir cantando.
