Presentation of Chulo in Tucson

Today I attended the presentation of Chulo: The Great Journey of the French Bulldog, a children’s book written by Nury Stemple. The story follows a little dog who was adopted in Kenya, traveled through several countries in Europe, and spent his final years living peacefully in Arizona. Chulo enjoyed a long life of almost 15 years.
The book was introduced by Fernando Adrián Sánchez Roldán, the Mexican Consul in Tucson, and by the author herself, who shared anecdotes about the dog’s travels. It is written in both English and Spanish.
I’m pleased the Mexican Consulate is actively promoting culture and reading in the community. I already bought two copies.

Hoy asistí a la presentación de Chulo: The Great Journey of the French Bulldog (Chulo: El gran viaje del bulldog francés), un libro infantil escrito por Nury Stemple. La historia sigue a un perrito que fue adoptado en Kenia, viajó por varios países de Europa y pasó sus últimos años viviendo tranquilo en Arizona. Chulo disfrutó de una larga vida de casi 15 años.
El libro fue presentado por Fernando Adrián Sánchez Roldán, cónsul de México en Tucson, y por la propia autora, quien compartió anécdotas sobre los viajes del perro. Está escrito en inglés y en español.
Me complace que el Consulado de México esté promoviendo activamente la cultura y la lectura en la comunidad. Ya compré dos ejemplares.
